Hi,

I just got a Pentax S5z digital camera. This camera can also record video with sound. When I preview the video on the cameras screen the audio and video is in sync. When I down load the video to my PC the video is much slower than the audio.

Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

I am running windows XP and have a USB 2.0 port.

Thanks.

You didn't say what kind of video/audio file it records - Quicktime? MPEG2? or ?? Also, if not quicktime, what player software do you use on your PC? You might try a different player.

It uses MPEG-4 codecs but when you download it becomes an .avi file. I have tried several software programs, including Widows Media Player 10 and Winamp but none of them seem to work.

I have found a solution to the sync problem. If I use VLC Media player the audio and video are in perfect sync. It's a free program. The website is www.videolan.org
