yeah, welcome. you know me, trying to keep the description to 30 words or less ... :D

search engines and directories. once upon a time they were quite different. Not now. Google is a search engine, but it now offers a directory. Directories also now provide searches.
A directory is kinda like a very simple well, Dewey Decimal Classification system (hey, I'm a cataloger). they divide the information into categories, subcategories, etc. So you only have to point and click, point and click, to get to something you're interested in finding.
