Have a look at this picture which I stitched together out of two identical shots of Harbourville N.S. 6 hours apart. Clearly shows the massive effect of the tides here!

I've known since I was a kid that the BOF had the worlds biggest tides...and I was hoping you'd post a before 'n after. :thmbsp:

It still amazes me every time I see those empty harbours.

Thanks. The lunar effect cycle is 6 hours and 25 minutes.

So to drain the pool and to fill'er up again takes 12 hours 50 minutes :rofl:

However, due to friction and the "lunge" effect of all that water plunging up the bay the times are slightly less - so they say.
