Have a look at this picture which I stitched together out of two identical shots of Harbourville N.S. 6 hours apart. Clearly shows the massive effect of the tides here!

Paul Army 09-13-2005, 06:03 PM That's a cool blend of shots! Landlubber question: How many hours does it take between high & low tides Paul ? Morden2004 09-13-2005, 06:37 PM That's a cool blend of shots! Landlubber question: How many hours does it take between high & low tides Paul ? Thanks. The lunar effect cycle is 6 hours and 25 minutes. So to drain the pool and to fill'er up again takes 12 hours 50 minutes  However, due to friction and the "lunge" effect of all that water plunging up the bay the times are slightly less - so they say.
