Are these anything to be excited or just something that came with rack systems?
No, nothing to get excited about:

Okay... all excitements diminishing.... now gone...
From a cheap all-in-one stereo. Probably has one 5 watt speaker in it.

I'd buy those just for nostalgia - my very first stereo was a Juliette, it was not a rack system but one of those all in one systems with a tuner, 8 track, and BSR turntable built into the top.
If I recall there are 8" full range speakers with whizzer cones under those grills.
I remember installing a better woofer and a tweeter with a crossover cap, which helped.
So, unless that was also your first stereo, and you're feeling nostalgic, then yeah, you should probably avoid them.

Juliette was utter crap. I had one of their clock radios for years. It was a constant annoyance with some of the worst sound I've ever heard. And their other stuff didn't sound any better. Sounddesign was way better. Lloyd's was better too.
ok now I'm just hatin....
