So if say, a really rich guy came up to you and offered to give you any piece of gear on the list above to have an evening with your significant other, what would you do?
These replies ought to be VERY interesting
Please feel free to post what other gear you would take in this trade, if it's not on the list.....
And no "my wife is gonna read this so I'll take this opportunity to kiss her ass" posts  , we're just a bunch of guys shooting the shit. It's not like we're gonna show up at the door with the gear you requested and a bottle of personal lubricant :lmao:
So, basically, this isn't a serious thing.....unless of course you are serious in which case maybe with photos attached you might get PM's from some rich guys here. You never know.
Anyways, post away :)

Hmm...I would outfit my wife with an anti-rape condom and steal the dude's equipment while he writhed around on the floor in agony! Hard to defend your stereo equipment when you have a couple dozen barbs in your baby-making stick!!

This thread discriminates against single people.

I'd gladly trade the ex for 5 minutes with a Bose Lifestyle.
Hmmm.... If a rich guy made an offer, I'd be lonely after that...
I'd be traded in, in a heartbeat, cuz my charm and fair looks is all I've got :lmao:
But since we're dreaming here, the Mac gear with say a pair of Infinity RS 4.5's
I was gonna answer but the woman sneaks in here and spies on me so I plead the 5th! 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - Fifth!!!!!

Anyone could have my ex for a stick of Juicy-Fruit. Matter of fact, I think that's the going rate.

I'll view this in context of my ultimate system which I would prefer to items 1 to 5 mentioned above combined - a full tilt Edgar horn system.
For my ex, I would have gladly bought anybody willing an Edgar system to take her the hell away from me.
For my current wife, I'll pass on the gear, I want to keep things just as they are. I'm a happy F'er and I'll get the damn Edgars someday anyway... :)

If your gonna wish for a watermelon, wish for a big one. I'd have to be provided with whatever I wanted at the moment for the rest of eternity.

Although I'm single....a set of mint JBL L300's would do it for me....the Paragon next!.
Hell, a set of mint L-300's are worth any woman on the planet!
See what us single guys can get away with saying? :D

Sorry, but I wouldn't even trade my wife for a full stack of TOTL Pioneer blue flouroscan components and two pairs of heresy's.

For a Perigee Definitive she would be so fast out the door, like you wouldnt believe. Oh well, she will run by herself when i tell her that my speakers are black and 6'3" tall and need 7ft from the wall in the living room ;-)

That's a hard one, my equipment respondes so nicely to a deoxit treatment, can't say the same about the spouse :smoke:

What costs more than I can afford, often gives a lot of static, needs frequent lubrication and tweaking, breaks down easily and is impossible to figure out when it does, sometimes makes sparks fly....
Well, she ain't the vintage audio gear! But I still wouldn't trade her for one of every audio component ever made.
[Of course I wouldn't, because speakers should come in pairs, not orphan singles...]

Exactly the same thing Florence would do - and he would be singing high tenor for days.
