Well, since there seems to be so many folks in the camera know here why...I am looking to get a better compact flash card. Right now the best I have is a 256 Lexar.

Looking to get at least 1gb. But what is the concern over transfer rate? The one I am looking at is 12x. For my simple needs, shouldn't that be fine?

Ww the concern with transfer rate is more relevant to very high megapixel point and shoots or SLR's and shooting in continuos mode. Photogs worry about how fast the camera can write to the memory card when shooting 1.5 f/s. For most shooters this isn't relevant.
