Two thoughts...

1: I am not an audiophile by most definitions. :naughty:

2: If it is true that you are only as old as you feel, I am somewhere in the neighborhood of 127! (actual age - 44 in a few weeks)

Don't feel like it, though,(and I am guessed as being from 20-32, by most people. A guy recently guessed me at 20).

i'm sitting pretty at 21 which means that the majority of my gear is older by 5 years at least. i have never seen a reel to reel in person.

Although I'm nineteen and only discovered this wonderful AK service a month ago, I have been dabbling with vintage hifi since the age of 13, though I only got seriously hooked on it when I hit 16 :thmbsp:

I think an audiofile is what you use to take the rough edges off of speaker cabinets.
Geez, now I'm down to 1.85% of the population.

When I was 19, and 5 knee injuries, my doc said I had the knees of a 60 year old. When I was 49 my back blew out finally requiring surgery to fuse two vertebra. Now, I feel young except for my back and knees that feel like they're in their 90s ....
As the song goes, are you experienced?

Well, come next April, I'll be turning 40. And I'm expecting a big AK party worthy of such an accomplishment. So mark your calendars, and get the planning committee started.

According to the survey, I'm in the majority age group at 46 years young, still collecting Altecs and selling off 5,000 light bulbs, hope to live another 46!! :D

Seems most here are on the upper side of middle-age. It makes sense as we 40-somethings were teens during the golden-years of home audio!

We now own the stuff we dreamed about in high school. :D

Cannot believe I'm 3 years away from 50. Absolutely can't believe it.

Damn! I'm almost out of "Just For Men". I hate my grey temples!

What the heck - I'll enter here, too. Big 4-0 for me!

If my hair greyed evenly I would'nt mind so much. Why only the temples?
I can't stand having silver streaks on the sides of my head...Looking like Paulie-Walnuts on the "Sopranos" :D
