Taken yesterday afternoon during a break in apple picking. Shot from near the top of the vineyard on the slope of North Mountain. Those rows of grape vines are 400 meters long with 1 vine per meter. We start picking these next week - weather permitting.

PS: Seems that those IMG tags are not working after all. Anyone know what's up with that?

Since the IMG tag doesn't seem to wotk, here is a normal thumbnail of this vineyard photo,

Nice shot, I wish I'd taken it. I hope you won't mind that I edited it a little by putting a border around it; putting a border on images sometimes helps define their composition, especially when the color at an edge of the image is close to the color of the 'paper'.
To create a border in PhotoShop, set the background color to black, choose 'canvas size', change the vertical and horizontal size measurement unit to 'pixels' and add the same number of pixels to the vertical and horizontal canvas size. Then press 'OK' and the border is there. I added four pixels in this case, but other image sizes will take other values.

That's cool! I seldom even think about borders on shots I post to the web but I guess I should start. Looks very nice. Thanks!

OK, here's another one that I added a border to using ArcSoft PhotoStudio.
Interestingly, it has a border in ArcSoft but the saved image shown here doesn't. Hmmm, I'll have to investigate this.

You are lucky to live in such a picturesque area.

I used to use ArcSoft and as far as I can remember the 'border' was a printer function; it'd print a black border of a specified width, IIRC, but it didn't add anything to the image file. If you can't add a border to the file with ArcSoft, you can get a copy of PhotoShop LE 5.0 on eBay for $10 - $15. It's a 'limited' version of PhotoShop that will do quite a lot. Another 'limited' version of Photoshop is PhotoShop Elements, which is later than LE, probably does a little more, costs a little more but about which I can't comment.
