This past weekend spent some time at my buddies camp in Tionesta, PA. Most of the leaves up there were still green and on the trees which really stinks. Plus haven't had our first winter freeze so the squirrels haven't gotten the kick in the pants to start packing food for winter. Didn't see a damn thing, was up in the Allegheny National Forest, usually squirrels everywhere. Saw 100's of Chipmunks though. My dad always told me that if you see a lot of chipmunks in a small area (square mile or so), you won't find many squirrels. Reason being that they both share the same diets and squirrels won't compete, instead they will move to another area.
Anyway, just wondering if we have any fellow hunters on the forum here. Can't wait for this weekend, get to go out again. I love being in the woods more than anything, very peaceful.
