I haven't seen one come up for bid on eBay for quite a while unless I just missed them. It's a DD manual with vinyl wood grain top.

I don't think so. They're very similar to the PL-55D and DX's in appearance. Never having had my hands on one, I can't say.

Edit: After looking a bit closer at some photos, an earlier version looks more like the previous incarnation of PL-series tables, a later version looks like the PL-55's. The difference seems to be in the on/off/cueing controls.

Thanks Louie, the PL-51 has speed control but has NO strobe built in also. I guess it's just a really stripped down version of the upper PL series. IMO thats a good thing. I think the PL-51 has spring type suspension also. Do you know of any good mods for the PL series?
