Shipping will hurt, but it will likely be packed well.

I had this particular table before I got my Technics SP-25/Micro Seiki MA-505 Mk 3, which I found not as hard and more musical.
the lads at hifi-do pack amazingly well!
however, the "nego" sign is on so this 8750 is likely already sold...
ze-ant,
could you elaborate on your experiences between SP-25 and PS-8750?

To me the Sony sounded like a run of the mill Japanese direct drive table, namely, hard, harsh and non-musical. I don't know whether the table or the tonearm contributed more to what I was hearing (I used the same cartridge on both tables, so that was not a variable). I suspect that the tonearm was more to fault, although I must admit that I've always desliked tonearms that employed carbon in its design.
The Technics was an altogether different kettle of fish. Smooth and musical yet with the dynamics and stability of a good direct drive design (although I guess the tonearm also contributed to what I was hearing). I now use the SP-25 in my secondary system with a Shure V15 Mk3 together with my 2 Garrards (301 grease bearing and 401) in my main system.
interesting...
any other owner care to comment for the sake of comparison? Samppo, are you there?

And Mirko. And, hopefully (if the Fedex gods are smiling), me in about another two weeks.
