I'll be doing my happy dance tomorrow when Puralotor drops off my new Olympus C-8080 wide zoom camera. I've never owned an Oly before but bought this after reading everything I could find on the new 8 MP prosumer cameras.

thats one nice looking camera.i hope you enjoy it.the digital prosumer market seems to be closing in on the dslr market lately and making a desecion between the one or the other is getting harder and harder as the price difference is really not that much.i went through this a few months back myself and eventually went for a dslr .good luck and hope to see some pictures soon with your new toy.

Have to show us what she can do. . . I too am getting a new camera. . . I chose the Panasonic FZ20 5mp with the 2.8 lense, a 12X super zoom
I like the size of the Panasonic, some of these guys are so tiny. . . .

That's a slick looking camera. I used Olympus 35mm gear for over 20 years until my last body finally croaked. They make wonderful equipment and are first class with their optics.
Of course, :worthless: and so we are all expecting a whole truck load of great shots of your gear, your car, your dog, Shiela Copps, the Skyway at 5:00 PM and, of course, the WWE Museum in Niagara Falls! :lmao:

I've had a C8080 for almost a year now and I think you'll like it. 8 Mpixels is like having a copying machine in your hand and I have used it to make copies of old schematics when at a friend's house. (And the general photos look good too). One thing I found - it's very sturdy with its titanium case etc., but it has a weak spot for any moisture that gets on the top right control area - I got a few rain drops on mine, and spent the next half hour with it turning itself on and off at random until it dried out.

Shame it didn't spend the next hour cycling the flash...that'd been a lot of fun! :D
