Hey Everyone,
Being new to this board and getting my feet wet in a vintage system to spin some wax, I'm aquiring a few albums. Is there a progam that any of you use to keep track of your music? Are there any freeware programs available or have you created your own? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. TIA.......... Kim:dunno:

Hiya, Kim! Y'know, I've even been to Moundridge!
I am a cataloger, and I've got to say the program we use is probably the oldest continuously used program that exists. That would be the MARC (MAchine Readable Cataloging).
Hmmmm ... probably should look at ZDnet or Tucows.
Y'all wouldn't need anything as complex as what librarian's use, but you'd want title, author/group/artist/format/etc.
Even simple cataloging programs are complex, so I might be surprised if there are any freeware programs. But, hey, I haven't looked, I may be wrong

I use VisiTrax. you can get it free here:

For CD's it's very cool, because you just pop in the CD and it picks up all the information. You don't have to type all that stuff in. Then you can search for an album, song, artist, type of music... very cool.
