Tonight I was spinning Miles Davis' Greatest Hits on the cdp and for some reason there seemed to be more music, more feeling and all the tunes were more involving Everything was clearer with nuances I had never noticed before - almost trance inducing - for an hour or so all was well with my world.
I have heard this disc a number of times and nothing has changed with my setup to make the music sound any different.
It's kinda like magic

Every once in a while that happens to my system as well. Yep, it's magic alright.

Sometimes the 'system' between your ears just works better. :thmbsp:

The lines between music and magic are blurred, and the two realms ofter merge, minge, and separate. Sometimes a band sounds perfect; then the next night, nothing seems to work. And I second Uriah's point---our minds play a role as well.
