Sorry Kam, I'm headed from Ann Arbor to Dover, OH Friday morning, then Chester, WV Saturday afternoon for a B'day party, then back to Brecksville, OH for R&R before heading back to MI Sunday morning. I was hoping to find time to visit Westlake, OH Saturday night to see the Tony Koussa Band at the Savannah Club.

Sorry, but considering your last few purchases have been a boat, a tractor, a land yacht, a motorcycle, and a van, I have to know...........
What did you buy??

BTW, how's that fuselage search doing????? :lmao:

Something with wheels that runs reliably, and you don't mind if it gets beat to he##. Also it helps if the heater, defroster and window wipers work.

Jump starting a car at -10 degrees ( f not c) is NOT fun.

Sold the tractor before I killed myself on it (tore up my leg pretty good once), got rid of the motorcycle (cut my losses before they began), and the fuselage? Well, let's just say I'm lookin ;)

And what did I buy? Well, a winter car that has my brand of panache, of course :)

I learned how to drive a stick in a '63 Falcon. Learned a few other things, too. Come to think of it, they were 'stick'-related, too.

Pretty cool, Tim.

Well a 100 pounds of sand in that trunk would be useful for a midwestern winter.
Salt might be nicer, but it isn't worth the trunk rot. (Don't ask how I know).

But I would call that the raw material for a resto job, not a winter beater.

If it survives... (Considering what I have seen you do with other things) it will be worth some serious effort.

My first car was a 66 Rambler 200 cu in straight 6. Didn't do too bad that winter, even considering the record snow accumulations.

Where's your spirit of adventure Tim? Ride cheap on a Greyhound, keep a journal, and post about your adventures here at AK.

And speaking of winter, what's that? It was 73 degrees here today.

I just wish it would snow. If I could make it snow, my kids would mind for a year in return.

I always liked the looks of that series of Falcons better than the earlier ones. I've also thought curved side windows made cars look very elegant. They f*cked up the Lincolns in 1964-65 when they went to flat side glass. Too bad this example is eaten up by the dreaded tinworm, looks like it was a nice little car.-Sandy G.

I'd put a 429 in that thing and go drag racing.

Tough getting around in the winter snows of Buffalo, with slicks in the back, spinning madly. Goin' nowhere, fast!

From what I hear they get a lot of snow from lake effect

But I think I've got Tim beat for first snow fall at around the same latitude, we're supposed to get 2"-4" of the crap tonight with high winds :yuck:

Put on almost 3,000 miles with no problems at all, except the fact that she don't like to go into forward gears when it's really cold :)
