Anyone else frame LPs and display them as art? I've added a few to my home theater, and really like the look. I may post some pics later. I occasionally swap them out to change the look.

I know MikeBama has done the same. Anyone else here do this?

I thought of that the other day when i put the 1º album of Roxy Music and another from Eddie Cochran in the top of a shelf.
I think that's a great idea.

25 years ago when I still lived in an apt. I had a collage filling one wall solid with the best artwork covers. Looked awesome!

If I had the room in my area, I would certainly do so. Anywhere else in the house, wifey frowns on my hobby and cannot hang anything I like...

Hi all. I frame Lp covers, real old 78's for the lables. A warped J. Geils red vinyl Blood shot Lp. Moody Blues cover -Search of the lost chord looks good in a frame. Tom t. Hall The Magnificent music machine. Dead records with mint or NM. covers that have something special about the cover.

I frame a lot of covers AND LPs for my clients, usually in a two-sided double opening mat with the cover couched in a square opening and the record itself couched in a round opening and then glass on both sides, finished off in a black metal frame. A nice clean and classic look.

Neat idea Jeff. If you stagger the pics, they'll act as a diffuser.

I've wanted to try this with my CD jewel boxes but haven't yet found a suitable way to display 'em on a wall.

I actually am almost about to hang up some records using frames. Now I just need to decide how many frames to buy. I figure since I love music why not hang some records instead of paintings that I don't have an attachment to.

Somebody at work informed me a couple of weeks ago that they were 1/2 price - I picked up 20 of them for $5 apiece. I believe the regular price is $9.99.

They look real nice - I haven't used them yet or I would post a picture. I'm sure they would increase the WAF for hanging album covers around the house.

There's links to sites selling on-the-wall CD storage at http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Entertainment/Recordings/Storage_and_Protection/Display/ as well as places selling LP frames -- Foe (Disclaimer: I collected these links, but have not shopped at any of these sites)

I'd STILL like a poster-sized one of the Blind Faith cover...I have always been partial to those stylised jet hood ornaments of the 1950s...<grin>-Sandy G.
