On a recent trip to an in-laws, I was given a box of (about 50) LP's by a family member, who'd given up vinyl and gone over to the dark side (Wally World audio equipment). I thought I would mention a few of them here.

Jefferson Airplane's - The Worst of Jefferson Airplane - NM

Jimmy Buffet's - You Had To Be There - Fair (But it does have God's Own Drunk)

Van Morrison - The Best Of Van Morrison - (Heaviest vinyl I've ever seen in a 33-1/3 disc - Sadly, it has a bad edge ripple.)

Aerosmith - Live Bootleg - NM

Heart - Dreamboat Annie - Fair

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here - NM

Cheech & Chong - Up In Smoke - Fair (oddly, there were lots of ashy lookin' fingerprints on this one!)

Blues Brothers - Briefcase Full of Blues - NM

Styx - The Grand Illusion - NM

Atlanta Rhythm Section - Champagne Jam - NM

Led Zeppelin - Eponymous - NM

The truly sad thing is, of the 50 or so albums, more than half were just in awful condition. Oh well, gift horses and all, it just saddens me that the copy of Pink Floyd's Animals that was in this box looked like someone had used it for target practice.

I was tickled silly, even with the unusable stuff I figure I've gained 5 - 6 hours of good listening in one fell swoop. Plus you can't beat free!
