I have been trying to think of a good poll. Something that will attract a lot of AK'ers...so here it is! OK guys, jump on my poll!

Do you prefer LIVE recordings of your fave artists or the studio versions?

EDIT: I guess I should say my faves are:

Lou Reed - Take No Prisoners, Rock 'N' Roll Animal

It really depends on the band. Allman Bros. always great live. Lou Reed, I agree. Wet Willie, yes! Alot of jazz groups definately. I think it depends on how good the players are in the band.

I'm wishy-washy.

I nice sounding live jazz recording is heavenly but studio recordings are just as fulfilling.

Gov't Mule and the Allman Brothers are absolute killers live but I also like their respective studio albums.

There are many more examples.

Live of course.

Studio. Live performances to me are always rough, and mistake-laden, and that damn crowd noise really screws up the music. I don't want to hear screaming, I want to hear the artist. With a studio take, it's the artist putting his/her/their best foot forward with everything just so and clean.

I prefer to See my favorites live, but for the same reasons mentioned above, I prefer Studio recordings!
