Advent Legacy II, $50, Pueblo (http://pueblo.craigslist.org/ele/3943407981.html) These look clean and the price seems fair. Not sure what incarnation of Advent these represent.

Luxman R-404 Reciever, $150, Parker (http://denver.craigslist.org/ele/3945369598.html) Looks great, but I'd thoroughly test this before buying. As many AKers have found out, Luxman parts, especially transistors, are virtually unobtainable.

Nakamichi Receiver 3, $120, Denver (http://denver.craigslist.org/ele/3945147633.html)

Nice receiver, but not one of the Nelson Pass Stasis designs. Still, in my lazy old age, that remote control volume looks tempting.

Akai AA-R42 Receiver (http://denver.craigslist.org/ele/3907549822.html) Very clean example of one of the most futuristic looking receivers ever made. I've heard that these tend to be problematic and Akai never came out with Service Notes to remedy some of the known issues. Add to that the $180 asking price, and you've really got to want one of these.

Verit TA-800 Speakers, $20, Denver (http://denver.craigslist.org/ele/3948845703.html) Pretty cheap. Some Verit speakers had Peerless tweeters. Not sure about these.

Quoted from AKer HiFiHippie:

Verit was a house brand sold by the long defunked,
University Stereo chain and the Federated Group, both west coast retailers.
They went out off business in the early 80's

Verit was a division of Wald Sound, an OEM supplier of speakers, they built a lot of speakers for Sansui and also for the chain
Leo's Stereo, Wald Sound was located in Sun Valley ,Ca.

They also had some good looking Fisher XP-9s for 10 bucks but I have plenty of wood cabs.

This...never seen a configuration like that.

These DCMs are great little speakers and a bargain at the asking price, especially since they look to be in mint condition (noaf BTW). The 3/4" tweeter is coaxially mounted in front of a 6.5" mid-woofer using a mesh metal plate that has thin foam behind it. The cabinet is a transmission line design, which makes for surprisingly low bass from a small speaker. The woofers have rubber surrounds and the crossovers use high-quality caps, so there should be no need for the usual maintenance - just plug and play. Definitely an unusual design, but it sure provides great sound and a wide soundstage. If I didn't already have five CX-17s floating around here, I'd grab them in a heartbeat :-).

Yes and I threw in a AR center as well.
Needed to move them quick.
They are really good for home theater.
For music, they are very bass heavy that didn't work well in my place but if I had my own house, I'd keep them.

Run of the mill JBL styled 80s Pioneer speakers with USA cabs and Japan drivers. I had a pair of these exact speakers about a year ago and sold them to my brother for $20, which is what I paid for them. Not dynamic in any way, but mellow, non-punchy, all day listeners. Great for someone who wants their music in the background.

Not Craigs, but there's a pair of Bose 10.2 Series II speakers at Goodwill on Kelly Johnson in Colorado Springs for $199. They're in nice condition, however, I didn't open them up and look at the surrounds. I've always liked the 10.2s and their cousins, the original 601s, for their non-fatiguing, all day listening sound.

A pair of vintage mid '80's JBL L20t 2-way Bookshelf monitors.
The Classic West Coast sound in a small two way monitor package. In very good condition.
Not walnut, but the rarer Teak wood veneer finish. There is some lifting of the veneer in the corners but nothing major. I give them a Solid 8-10 for the age. They sound very good and have no driver rot or the typical foam rot of other JBL's due to the polypropylene cone and Nomex surround. Tweeters are in great shape as well. If your looking for a small 2way that sounds good and goes like hell, this is them. $260.00obo.

These are the speakers designed by Andrew Jones (designer of $70,000 TAD speakers)...he thought he could design GREAT inexpensive speakers...he did!

1 pair of towers -SP-FS51-LR with original box

very very good for the money...check online for reviews and feedback from customers comparing them to more mainstream, more expensive speakers..

JBL Stereo Cabinet/Entertainment Center - vintage, walnut - $100 (Wheat Ridge)
This 1970's vintage component cabinet was manufactured by JBL, the renowned speaker manufacturer. It is a high quality piece of furniture in excellent condition. The unit is divided vertically in half with individually adjustable shelves on each side. One shelf has a strip light on the bottom to provide additional light for the component below.

The unit is in excellent condition, with no scratches or dings. The walnut veneer edge strips are loose at two or three corners. They are not broken or cracked, but do need to be glued down. The cabinet is also finished on the bottom and has no legs or bumpers. It is a heavy piece and needs two people, furniture pads, and probably a dolly to be moved without damage.

Put your vintage stereo components in a great, period correct cabinet. $100 cash, firm.

vintage electronics: jbl, scott, fisher, dynaco and others (Denver)

The bulk of this collection consist of vacuum tube stereo components. I don't have the time to take pictures and post them with the ad, however, I can include a partial list of what I've inventoried to date. The list includes, but is not limited to scott, fisher, dynaco, heathkit, klipsch, leak & eico separate components (amps, pre-amps, tuners and speakers). If you're interested in vintage vacuum tube stereo equipment, then drop me an e-mail and I'll get back to you asap with more details of the individual pieces (I work 9-5 m-f so weekends are best for auditions). I've listened to most of these components and they operate extremely well for thier age and most of them have been restored. Thanks for reading, Michael.

These are beautiful gloss piano black NHT ST-4 towers in amazing shape. They're a 3-way with an 8" side-firing woofer that goes down to 31Hz. They sound as incredible as they look. 38" tall by 8" wide x 12" deep

The center is the NHT SC-1 with the same tweeter as the ST-4....important in surround sound.

For the rears, I have a pair of gloss black VS 2a that sound great by themselves. The grills are missing, but that's the only flaw.

Price for all 5 speakers is $295. The ST-4's were $1,000 new. I'm willing to separate.
