I lost a friend this past week under unfathomable circumstances. Stevie shot and killed his wife and then himself in Houston. He was 69 and in failing health having had a liver transplant a year or so ago. He was the best guitar player to come out of these parts, never achieving fame but having a resume to that spoke to his skills with a guitar. Lots of memories from better times. Will miss you Stevie.

Yes a real shame but doesn't anyone miss and feel some sympathy for his poor innocent Wife in all this after all didn't he shoot and kill her?

Jing's death is the more tragic part of this story. I didn't specifically include it in this post because it's a music forum. Jing was 37 years old and was from China. She married Stevie when she was in her early 20's. She loved America and had gone to school and became a legal assistant. I hadn't seen her in a few years but thought a lot of her. It's one thing for an old guy to take himself out but he should have left her out of it.

I do feel for her. It sounds as if the gentleman had some psychosis or something that pushed him over.

Sorry to hear this Tom. He certainly had great guitar skills. Very sad it had to end like this.
