Recipe calls for;

1 package egg noodles
1/4 cup virgin olive oil (if it's not virgin, I won't tell)
1/4 stick butter
1 tbs. minced garlic in oil ( five cloves chopped)
3 or 4 brocolli crowns rinsed
1 tbs. oregano
2 tbs. parsley flakes
1 1/2 cups grated parmesan cheese

Cook brocolli al'dente' ( always love a slight crunch). Cook egg noodles.
While the other items are on the stove , I put the butter and olive oil on
medium. Put garlic and spices in. Cook until butter melts and you have a wonderful arromatic liquid. Mix broc with noodles and poor your oil/butter
mixture in then toss with the parm.

Serve with bread sticks and enjoy. The above ingredients can be adjusted to taste. Salt and pepper to your taste also. Try it, you'll like it! :yes:

Not likely. Unlike Brussels sprouts, which are clearly a mistake made by the committee that decided which plants are edible, broccoli is the King of Vegetables :thmbsp:

Funny you mention brocolli...I just steamed a medley of Baby Carrots and Brocolli with deboned (and cooked) Chicken, a bit of real butter and at the last minute, added some cheese to the mix. It hit the spot on this damp, cold night too!

i dont see how people can hate broccoli.

what i like to do is put some olive oil into a pan, along with a ton of finely minced garlic and mushrooms, and saute the broccoli until the garlic starts to get toasty. then i pour just enough water into the pan to stop the sizzling, wait a minute or so and then remove the heat.... perfect broccoli

Hey now, Brussel sprouts are quite tasty in my book! Unfortunately, many times the ones you get in the market are past their prime, but if you get a nice batch of them, and steam them up, they are yummy! My favorite is just a little butter, vinegar, and S&P on them! They remind me of cabbage, which is another favorite of mine. Shredded cabbage, cooked down in bacon grease, S&P, and a little red pepper for some zing.... MMMMMM
