In the footsteps of Fotno, I had to think about what to say in my millenium post. I had to fly down to Lalaland, and on the plane, a few things came to mind:

I like the new slogan, but it's missing the most important thing to me. This place isn't all audio. There's a whole huge portion of it devoted to people, their lives, their pain, and their joy. It's the humor and the feeling that keep me coming back here, not the audio discourse. We wouldn't be here without audio, but this place wouldn't be what it is with just audio.

Steve talked about being accepted here, and that's a huge portion of what sets AK apart from the other audio sites. The admins founded a home-away-from-home that deliberately goes far out of its way to accept people, and to require mutual respect and civility. Unique, and near magical.

I've felt accepted, been noticed, laughed with (and at, gently), and all basically free of charge, and with my only obligation to give a damn and play nice. What a deal! Thanks to all!

And now, back to being a post ho!

:lmao: Nice work, NT. Congrats on 1k. I've laughed more by coming to this online funny farm than any other site on the net; there's no place like it, and we're all a part of it. Thanks for being here.

Congrats NT, the feeling is mutual buddy. It's been so easy to become enthralled with the goings on here that 1000 just flew by. BTW Kam, I actually like the "four Bolly and seven years ago" line. If I could of thought of something really funny like that I probably would have went with it instead of gettin' all mushy:).

My goal for the next thousand is to emulate 'toze strategy. Short posts are the key. I've changed my profile per Sandy's suggestion.

Ah... I bow to the master!

I read somewhere that imitation is the sincerest form of flatulence.
