On my new Q2's, the upper and lower tweeters are angled upwards. The bottom of the tweeters are held out on tubular standoffs. Have a look at the pics.
I "think" I can see this in pictures on other sites on the web, but it's not real clear. I'm wondering if this is a modification that was popular at one time and the previous owner did this.
It looks well done, but it also looks a bit unfinished with the big rat hole showing into the cabinet. What would the impact on the sound quality be if this is not "factory" designed ??
It's interesting to note as well, that the angle is not the same for the top and bottom. If this is factory, or a good mod, it looks like the amount of angle of the tweets must be engineered for some good reason.
This would be good info for other Q2 refurbishers, in case someone had removed the spacers at one time, and didn't put them back.
Anyone with any info on the matter?
