Yeah i hooked it up today to the new bx600 amp and i am very impressed.

I play guitar, but I'd like to get into the bass, I was thinking of going with something inexpensive, but offering good value for the $$, anyone have any thoughts on the Rondo SX basses?:

See if you can push the budget a little and look for a used Mexican Fender J Bass. If you can push the budget a little more look for a Japanese one. FWIW I personally use a Dean Jeff Berlin signature that I love. So the Dean's should also be on your list
