Greetings,
I'm looking at a listing to purchase a Teac 35-2B and in doing some research I can't seem to nail down what the differences between a Teac 35-2 and a 35-2B are. The unit looks good but I don't know if the 35-2B version is better than/worse than/identical to the 35-2B.
to make matters even more murky, there is only one recent sale on e-pay for a 35-2 and it quotes the stats as being
2-TRACK, TWO CHANNEL STEREO
4 TRACK STEREO PLAYBACK SWITCHABLE.
4 HEADS:FULL TRACK ERASE,
2 TRACK RECORD,
2-TRACK PLAYBACK,
4-TRACK PLAYBACK.
3 MOTORS; 1 DIRECT DRIVE-DRIVE DC SERVO CAPSAN MOTOR;2 EDDY CURRENT MOTORS.
REEL SIZE 10-1/2" AND 7".
TAPE SPEED 15 IPS AND 7-1/2 IPS. STEREO CHANNEL SEPERATION 50DB AT 1KHZ.
the listing that I am looking at for the 35-2B has the same stats listed, including the misspelling of "capstan" so its an obvious cut and paste job.
Basically what the heck is the difference in the "B" model?
Any constructive (or humorous) input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Blake
