I'd really like to be there but the 110th Boston Marathon is on Monday, April 17th. I haven't decided if I'm running or not. If I do attend the fest I'd like to bring some gear with me so I may need a hand setting up! Lifting crates of amps and speakers isn't SOP four days after running a marathon... and the downhills make Boston hellish on your quads!

O, it isn't a lack of willingness or desire to attend. It appears my employment situation may take a turn at the end of March, which will mean I'll be traipsing back across the country and having the moving thing going on and such.

Between working my 50-60 hours a week we will be working on the food menu. Like last year, anyone who would like to bring anything would be helpful, and I know everyone LOVED the cookies......

FYI some of us are meeting at my home Friday morning and forming an AK caravan of sorts, all are welcome to join us!

If you are driving from a far, I have room for a few if you want to spend the night Thursday, we plan on heading out at 8 AM Friday morning. I would ask if you need a place for the night to give me a heads up so I can give the Misses a head count.

Man we had a blast last year, should be bigger and better this year.

Retro and I are sharing a listening room, so we'll have a Pioneer Spec setup driving a pair of Infinity RS 2.5's as well as a few other speaker choices of Gregs choosing.

If you go to the Fest website, HERE (http://audiokarma.org/ak2006) you can go to the Venue page. Call the Hotel, and ask for Reservations. Be sure to tell them that you are booking for the Fest. The rate is $69.95 per night. Earlier, there were some problems with guys getting the Fest rate, but when I called, about 10 days ago, it was no problem.

My SO and I are going. I just booked the flight, hotel reservations and car rental. We're leaving EARLY Fri morning but don't get in until the eve - flight in after 4pm. For you locals, how long will it take to drive from the airport (DTW) to the hotel on a Fri eve?

No I used to live at 696 and Dequindre before, now I live at 10 mile and Hoover area. Wish I had time to listen (my reference system got damaged from the flood I had back in February...), its been many months, I have been working 20 hour days since October 2005.... Thanks all!!!

BTW, what room are you in? I gotta Samsung I modified that I would like to hear in a couple systems and have some fun. I would have loved to go out there tonight but I had to logg in another 10 miles on the bike to make 50 miles this week! :banana:
