I think this is a pretty high end deck markdi 01-31-2006, 02:29 AM so how do you people keep your decks working with out replacement rubber parts ? draftingmonkey 01-31-2006, 06:08 PM I haven't had to purchase any rollers yet. Have you checked on ebay? Sometimes you see belts and rollers for sale there. Give me a day or two and I may be able to find a source for belts, came across one once. Usually my tech takes care of such things. As for rollers you might check out http://www.terrysrubberrollers.com/ Haven't tried them myself but it is something to check into. Good luck. markdi 01-31-2006, 07:15 PM I used some neoprene o rings to replace a couple of idler tires in it. I think it would work fine if I resurfaced or replaced the pinch rollers. it will work with most tapes just fine some tapes it will crinkle them. I can see the roller stop but the drive pin is still turning. looks fantastic I bought it about 6 years ago for 20 bucks. it is kinda fun keeping it working. I have fully working sony cfs - d7 boom box and a sony wmf 75 water sports walkman the walkman(I bought it new)came with a pair of mdr - w10 in ear headphones that sound fantastic - lot better sounding and lighter than an exspensive pair of in ear phones a buddy of mine has) I have quite a few new blank tapes does walmart or fred meyers still stock blank cassette tape ? |
