Found this nice deck on a local site for 2nd hand stuff, asking price was €50 so I jumped on it :-) Luckely I brought a tape with me to test the machine, because when I did try to test it, the tape didnt move at all! So, I got it for free   .
Included were: the original box & packaging material, users manual, magazine dating '81 featuring the GX-77.
The drive belt had jumped off. The guy told me his dad used the machine lying down (not a good idea it seems). Took me about 30 minutes to get it back on. This is quite a small deck, in depth (especially compared to teh RT-707), thus very diffiicult to reach anything inside the deck, I really wouldnt want to have to replace the main drive belt.
I like this deck, really do. Very nice audio quality, auto-reverse (even reverse recording :-) ), real-time counter. Does have a very distuinguished '80 look doesnt it, although made in 81 (I presume). It must be one of the most modern 7" tapedecks if not THE most modern one?
