The serious recent research on music, stress, and performance indicates among other things that whether or not the music matches your preferences is important (surprise!). Tried to justify the belief that Man is the superior species. Noted that Man is the only mammal that faces the mate when procreating, no doubt a sign of superiority, he must have believed.
