Iīve read that in some farms, chickenīs are fed a diet of classical music ( Mozart mostly ) all day long. Supposed to reduce their stress and lay more eggs. :scratch2:

Actually, a lot of it is pseudo-scientific mumbo jumbo. The serious recent research on music, stress, and performance indicates among other things that whether or not the music matches your preferences is important (surprise!). I know some of this research (I'm a research psychologist in real life), and will try to dig up some accessible references if you're really interested.

I had a teacher in college that worked on studies similar to that. Tried to justify the belief that Man is the superior species. Noted that Man is the only mammal that faces the mate when procreating, no doubt a sign of superiority, he must have believed.

His wife was a whole bunch of fun when he was working on those studies! :yippy:

i am not overly interested in the subject, but i thought it'd be fun to pick it apart a little bit so i shared it. Don't stress yourself on finding refferences/opinions..thanks though.

Was taught that in an anthropology class in college. Not to say that we humans can't learn anything from our fellow mammals.......
