Any help is appriciated. jpdylon 01-30-2006, 06:14 PM the 340 series is a great receiver. i think there was an a and B series. The 340 a was a robust 27WPC and the 340b was probably more like 30-33wpc. The difference in physical appearance was that the A model looked like the older scotts with the airplane like tuning dial, the 340B had the newer slide rule dial. They are both excellent receivers. Schematics for them can be found Here (http://hhscott.com/database/vhhs_00011.html) kfa888 01-31-2006, 12:39 PM Thanks for the info, it is just like this one... http://www.rummageads.com/tstereo/scott340/ Seems like a good way to get my feet wet on tubes. radioactive 01-31-2006, 12:45 PM Seems like a good way to get my feet wet on tubes. yes a very nice receiver to get into tubes with.good luck and keep us posted. mhardy6647 02-26-2006, 01:44 PM Actually (and this isn't a criticism, just a comment) I like the 399 just a wee bit more. They were/are beautiful instruments. http://images.andale.com/f2/115/106/3411432/1141476542057_t_399_Stereo_Tube_Receiver_12_resize .jpg hagbard 02-26-2006, 06:43 PM Looks like my Freed Eisemann Model-7 from 1926. macaltec 02-26-2006, 07:51 PM Thanks for the info, it is just like this one... http://www.rummageads.com/tstereo/scott340/ Seems like a good way to get my feet wet on tubes.
