Just a minute while I get this out of my system

:yippy::yippy::yippy::yippy::yippy::yippy:

I managed to get sound out of my Main system for the very first time (OK heaphones don't count) I got my speaker wires routed. I had to lay on my belly for 30 minutes to get the last connections soldered up. But after reading Mikes Post about his moving things around and how DSOTM made tears come to his eye's I knew I had to hear that through my SP-3500's TONIGHT.

And I got to tell you when the alarm clock went off I had chills. I have weeks of work yet to go but it will be while listening to tunes from my stereo.

No more coming home to find out the wife shoved a CD in the DVD player and is listening to it throught the frecking TV. That cut me to the bone!

If I weren't so damn tired I'd be jumping up and down but since the wife hit the rack at 8:00pm I don't think That would be a good idea.

Man I hope nobody in the neighborhood thinks their getting to sleep in or a nap tomorrow. I plan on finding out what about 60 watts of Pioneer really sounds like!!!!!

OH MAN FINALLY

OK an update. This morning DSOTM at about 2:00 on the dial showed around REALLY LOUD on the power meters and the sound was totally smooth and great and amazing and and and. The wife stayed home from work with a migrain headache. But she let me listen to side one while she stayed in the bedroom. Right after the alarm clock went up to ask her how she was doing she said " THE WHOLE HOUSE IS VIBRATING" I asked was it OK she said OH YA! I told her I heard things in the album I never heard before Said "OH I have too!"

I think she thinks it's all kind of funny watching my work my butt off for a couple of months and now while it's not completely done.

Side note to Strawman No the processors aren't in the loop yet only the SA-9100 Amp and PD-M552 CD changer and of course the Heathkit Audio Control Center.

OK now I have to get back to figuring out how to hook everything up and then all the other details. I figure another two weeks and I should be ready for a Party.

I'm still waiting for the Preamp to show up (they sent it DHL so I'm scared to deathand really hope he packed it the way I asked)

The TX-9100 tuner is most likely going to be the first thing to see a tech as the dial lights vary in brightness and the tuning meter won't center but stays to the left of the mark all the time.

My speaker wires from the speakers to the junction block (I have to have this to be able to get the rack in and out of the pocket it sits in) ended up at 17' 9" then from the junction block to amp (passing through the Heathkit Audio Control Center, think power meters) are another 6' 6" for a total run of 24' 3" the first 6' 6" is 14 ga the balance is Carol C-1108 coax with a 16 ga braided copper center conductor and a 95% copper braid shield that works out about 12 ga when all twisted up.

I can have background listening levels with the Sansui SP-3500 speaker with less then .2 watts showing on the power meters. at 2 watts they come alive at 20 watts its a damn party and 40+ it's amazing.

OK gottan go sit in the sweet spot and listen to "THE WALL" back in an hour or so.
