Well, we had the quotes, now what's your favorite music selection or singer?

I'd start with Moonraker by Shirley Basse, a great ballad sung so smoothly.

Regards,

Bart

Ditto on "Goldfisher...er, finger!" Second would be "Thunderball" by Tom Jones, third would be "Live Or Let Die" by Sir Pauly and fourth, "Nobody Does It Better" by Narly-Carly Simon.

Regardless of anything else the man ever did for popular music, good or bad, this single travesty is enough to warrant being stoned to death in a public place.

I disagree...the travesty committed by him that warrants stoning is "Mull of Kintyre".

At least we're working toward the same end.

I love that Alice Cooper went to the trouble of writing and releasing a song called Man With the Golden Gun, which was not used in the movie.

Nobody chiming in with Duran Duran's theme from View to a Kill huh? Me either.

Personally I like Guns n Roses version of L&LD better.

Guess I'm down for Carly Simon too, as my actual fave.

As much as I think Sean Connery is the best Bond, I think I'm gonna have to go with the movie AND theme from "Tomorrow Never Dies". Totally plausible plot nowadays, IMHO.
When you throw your rocks and garbage at me, remember to aim high as I'm 6' tall.

Sir Paul has done worse.

"Silly Love Songs" is horrible beyond belief.

What's so bad about "Mull Of Kintyre"???

i have seen every bond out there and own most of them as well, but i would have to say" you only live twice" or "from russia with love" are the best of all, once dalton took over in the 80s they all became the same thing.

There were definitely some good tunes out of the Bond flicks. I think I liked the music better than the movies...at least after Sean C. I think that I'd have to cast my vote for Carly.

Diamons Are Forever was also sung by Shirley Bassey. Her rendition was sort of like the movie and the times, a bit over the top and dramatic but entertaining. What I remember most was Jill St. John   :naughty:

Now that was a bond girl!!

Anybody want to start a Favorite Bond Girl Thread?

What was the one that was "sorta" redone a couple of yrs ago by that pommy Brit singer, Robbie Williams ? I think it was "You Only Live Twice". "Live & Let Die" was an alrite tune, it's just they overplayed it by a factor of 10X. I wonder whatever happened to the big black guy who was in "LLD" who was also the "Uncola" spokesman...-Sandy G.

'For Your Eyes Only" by Sheena Easton.

I like a lot of her early recordings before she got mixed up with Prince, or whatever it's name is these days.
