Found at an estate sale. Has the original plastic wrapper with sticker indicating that there is a poster inside. It is and looks like it was never unfolded. Haven't seen one before. Cover and vinyl are mint. $0.25 (1/2 price day):thmbsp: Also picked up a 1963 Stereo Review Stereo Test Record 211 from same seller.

I've almost stopped going to estate sales. Seems like they let the record collectors go thru before the sale and then want $3 a piece for the flotsam that's left behind - ya' know Mitch Miller sings... I've had better luck at garage sales where I've picked up some nice records for a reasonable price. Bookends is one of the S&Gs that I still need to find a good copy of. $.25 in that condition is a steal. :music:
I love Bookends and still have my "360 Stereo" copy from '68. Columbia re-mixed the album in the seventies when "America" was released on a single stripping away some of the instruments from the mix. I have the S&G boxed set and am happy to say that they put it to right on the CD reissues.

I also can recommend the CD boxed set.Its a very nice pkg. that contains nearly all their recorded works.

This was an odd sale. We were there the final day and there were quite a few tools left and and a load of lumber that I had interest but they decided to close early and sell to a buyout person-stupid. If it was a pro seller they did the family wrong. Records are a hit/miss thing but I've been lucky lately and usually $1 or less.
P.S. I'll check how many copies I have. I know at least two as I usually buy any album if .25 — can't count how many different covers of Stones' Some Girls I have.

If they had a lot of tools and good records left then these folks weren't doing something right. Usually both go pretty quickly at most estate sales that I go to. I must admit that it's hard to pass up a record when it's priced right. There's one thrift that I go to that sells records 3/$1. Now that's a price that lends itself to checking out some tunes and I do. Of course, sometimes I just go to the record store and pay the price for the desireable, hard to find and in NM condition.
