It's damn near impossible to find these things, even on epay.......

I've got some really cool RC cars, mostly Tyco and Radio Shack from thrift stores, even managed to pick up a Tyco RC dirtbike that I repaired, so I'm looking for your beaten, broken, or even decent RC stuff, any brand as long it's not like that New Bright China garbage ;) .

Chargers, batteries, controllers, you name it. Just let me know what you have and how much you want :)

Tim:

I wondered if you ever got the RC stuff you needed. I know we have some around here. I'll look for it today and let you know.

I don't know about you Terry, but most of the thrifties I hit around Hotlanta rarely have anything worth picking up. Real Chinese Crap? Now that is in plentiful supply here. I'll keep a lookout as well, Kam. BTW Terry, when is the East Cobb AK gathering again?

Ya need to get away from them tyco POS cars and try some that has replaceable parts like Losi, Associated Tamiya or Kyosho. Its not worth spending even 50 cents on tyco or nikko crap.

Hiya! hey, I think some of the Tamiya folks are missing the point of the Vintage RC cars. I collect Vintage RC and it R. O. C. K. S! I .I have a decent size collection by now, of old Hong Kong& Singapore stuff, and believe it or not- even older stock marked "CHinese " stuff. Also, dont knock "NewBright" too too much, because believe it or don't, they made what i consider to be some nice older collectible stuuf also.TooTrue, that the stuff is becoming increasingly difficult to find! Heres a pic of just a sample of one of my older RC cars(trucks) http://my.opera.com/gjgkerrtx/albums/show.dml? id 38807 My recent find is an Tonka "CAR QUest" pickup from the early 90's (which is about my cut-off point). Although this is not Radio controlled, it is Battery operated and this little dude is actual FOUR WHEEL DRIVE!!!! P.S> One Radio Shack car i once had that i got rid of , and that i really WANT BACK is the vintage AUDI QUATTRO! I miss that-its rare! EDIT_ the PIC i posted will require you to click on a link in my home page under "RC CARS"-Thanks

man when i bought my traxxas electric 4-tec i ebayed or sold all my rat shack/toys are us junk. the only cars like that i have left are radio shack/tandy: porsche 928 from 79', still worx, porsche 944 from mid eighties, still worx, and a lambo countache from the mid eighties, still worx, but these are only for display, as performance sux and i think they are all rare, and i kno the 944 is rare.

however, i believe i have a ton of non-se zip zaps around here that i was trying to get rid of, let me kno if u are interested. i even have the track and cone/ barrel set. i also have a bunch of performance upgrades, rims, bodies, tires, engines, spoilers etc...

BTW, nothing ive ever had before compares to my *modified* electric traxxas 4-tec. that suckers got a 17 turn motor with electronic speed control (it keeps up easily with cars driving down my street, 30-40 mph), high torque steering servo, wheel/rim tire combos, some foam. plenty of batteries which attatch to the electronic speed control with deans connectors (plastic normal ones melted!). and its got a ton of other mods, and i dont even remember what they all are. and i have a mustang, camaro, porsche 911, aston martin, and a honda civic body, which are all interchangeable. sorta like zip zaps. but the cool thing about having a car like this is that u can race at tracks with other enthusiasts for trophys, prizes, and experience. its fun as crap.

Kam, I have a 1/5 scale car with lots of spares, tires, controller, etc., if you have any interest? It's a large R/C car with a mod'd weedwacker motor, and will do over 45 mph.
It's a serious type R/C car, and if you have any interest, just let me know, as I now longer have the time to get to the track and take part in the hobby.

Tim:

Finally rounded up what I could find of our RC gear and take some pics. If you have any questions or want any of this stuff let me know. You will find the price is right. Items are very dusty as you will see in the pictures. Needed to take and post pics, not clean and dust. I'll do that later if you want anything.

My 2 boys and I had great fun with these things when they were young like yours.

If there are no takers on that Porsche TWantiques, I'd be interested. Shoot me a PM with a price if kam doesn't want it. I have an older Team Lost Junior T 2WD truck, I can't remember all what's done to it, but it will do near 30, probably closer to 25, and I just picked up 2 of those Nylint Rockcrawlers, those are a blast. Lets me do my four wheeling without breaking parts! One is a 1/18th scale fully locked up 4wd Scorpion, the other is a 1/6 scale Jeep Wrangler, with a two speed transfer case, switchable from the remote. They are a riot, and you can actually play with them in the house, since they go slow. Anyway, sorry to hijack, Have fun, Crexrun

ooh, Kam beat me! I don't have any money anyway. That porsche is certainly cool!
