Whos gonna win?

Certainly not us for being subjected to their singing :sigh:

Whoever wins will have a little singing talent, but not nearly enough to justify the hype. I know accountants and lawyers who can sing better than anyone I've heard from American Idol, and I've only heard them when forced.

I know far too many talented, struggling musicians to give a shit about the Bozos who sign up for American Idol. There are a hell of a lot of good singers around. I'll take an average singer with songwriting talent any day.

And the contract those people have to sign is borderline servitude. No thanks. :screwy:

Simon Cowell doesn't give a damn about music. He's only concerned with making money. Gotta admit, though, the guy is pretty good at exploiting mediocre talent.

They are mostly all horrible so I'll vote for one of the girls.

Yeah, the guys are really terrible compared to the girls. That one guy made me think of Kirk Cameron singing Michael Jackson.

American Idol after the auditions :boring:

From the guys I like Taylor Hicks and Chris Daughtry. The Girls I liked Mandisa and Katharine McPhee. I liked several of the others as well. I think Bobby and Sway will be done thursday night. My daughter and I enjoy the show and watch it together. I like the style of the show and the entertainment value it provides. You gotta admit the twins that left early were funny.

I'll be watching after the paint's done drying.

Taylor Hicks is supposed to be the guy that's supposed to appeal to the fans of 70s rock, yet his performance of Elton John's Levon sure left a lot to be desired.

Simon is about the only reason to watch that steaming pile. Period. OK, maybe if that aging bint Paula had a "Wardrobe Malfunction", but other than that...Fuggeddaboutit...-Sandy G.
