The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars by David Bowie
The LP is in perfect condition. I bought it at the PX at Zaragoza AB, Spain in 1978. Discwasher products used on the stylus and LP with a shot of Zerostat. Lots of static here in the dry dry dry Sonoran Desert. I saw a gila monster in walgreens today buying some Curel lotion.
Pro-Ject Debut III turntable, basic black, Ortofon 5E cartridge aligned perfectly at the factory. Stock cables.
Cambridge Audio A500 preamp section
Tandberg 3003A amp. It's old, but it's good.
Ten-year-old Monster Cable, 12 guage
JMLab Chorus 714S floor standing speakers. Best (not most expensive) speakers I've ever had. I ran the blockade. Sorry 'bout that.
Drink: Chocolate Soldier (just as good as YooHoo)
Smoke: Padron 2000
Excellent distortion-free recording. Nice dynamics, sparkling highs, tight solid controlled bass, sweet warm vinyl midrange a little bit forward as I like it. Very balanced, top to bottom. I have the bass tweaked to about 2 o'clock on the A500.
Very nice rock and roll, Bowie style. I like LPs that tell a story. Bowie is one of my guilty pleasures.
I'm recording it to a CD with my HK CDR26 so I can listen to it in the truck.
Highly recommended.
