View Full Version : I could add alot of info but I keep getting my thread killed
Beamship 02-24-2006, 04:16 PM I recently had a thread killed, and so I had to consult with FED-EX to get these gigantic speakers moved. I AM a seller .. so I can't post here? anyone lend some advice , please.
( or I can't mention where? who? link?)
Anways I wrote a letter back to the moderator, :
hey rich .. no I was honestly trying to figure how to pack em .. , is there anything wrong with trying to get knowledge?
These were b... to pack L22's on FREIGHT, but we did it successfully and shipped em off to oregon. with no help from your guys, If you'd like to see the pictures .. wow! I could add alot of knowledge to this site ,but not too familar with boards nor do I have too much time. but would add if I could stop getting kicked off.
Why do the little guys ( and girl in this case ) always get picked on.. hmmm.. just because I sell doesn't mean I don't have legitimate questions . like the next question I was going to ask about a pair of L19's and why the speakers look different, and was there always a 119H in it .. I am a bit put off by your killing my thread.. that sucks.
I need info like this all the time , should I not be permitted to ask questions. I'm sure the rest of your audeince would be thrilled to know that I am **edited for selling content***why such threads are killed .. is a mystery to me. I particular love a BUZZ site .. unless this thread gets killed to. **edited for selling**.. I just want to know .. where is the free world?
Beamship 02-24-2006, 04:19 PM See I am not even good at this
jpdylon 02-24-2006, 04:30 PM I'm sorry if your threads keep getting killed, but you are obviously not following some kind of guideline which is causing the mods to do their job and remove it.
AFAIK, the packing and shipping fourm is for giving praise to a particular person/company for their packing and shipping jobs, pointers on how to properly ship gear, and so forth. It's really not a rant and rave fourm.
Not to get you down about selling, but AK is not ment to be a sellers database. It's not just you, but we have had "members" who would join simply to ask what going prices are, or evaluation of their gear, only to see it on ebay for a rediculous starting bid a few days later. Same goes for those who post in need of something, then leave.
My suggestion is to kick back awhile, tell us about yourself, your audio gear, and why you love this hobby. Get to know the people here, and you will be rewarded. Leave the flames and ranting for elsewhere, or your threads will most likely be killed.
Just some advice. Hope you stick around.
tentoze 02-24-2006, 04:39 PM If you want information, people are here willing to help. If you want to shill your business, you will be sorely disappointed. I just edited your initial post to remove some inappropriate references.
If you want to sell things, there is a Member's Sale Forum. You will not be allowed to post about all the cool stuff you want to sell in the regular forums. Period. If you don't want to play by the rules, move on.
grumpy 02-24-2006, 05:24 PM This free world your posting on is members supported...

Sorry you feel that way. I guess since you posted your pm to me here, I'll reply here.
Your thread on packing questions wasn't killed, in fact it is still here, minus only the link to your own eBay ad - check the packing and shipping forum: http://audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=58579 . You were and are permitted to ask questions. You got some answers and thanked folks. And you haven't posted in the month since to contribute information to the forums.
People who want to sell here use the AK classifieds or pay vendor fees.
Just the facts.
luvvinvinyl 02-24-2006, 07:18 PM Beamship, just for the record, you were dealing with probably the most good-natured mod on staff. After he explained, ina pm, why he took the action he did, and DIDN'T ban you, you come back and call him out, for taking this most conservative action.
I would strongly urge you to refrain from using the boards for calling out another member, much less a mod. You can do this by private message, or email. I promise you that at least one mod, if not more, will step up and put a stop to it, if you do.
