The wife and I are heading to Boulder in a little while for an evening with the Cowboy Junkies at the Fox Theater. :thmbsp: I'll give a short review tomorrow.

John - now I'm jealous. "Miles From My Home" is one of my favorite songs of all time. If they play that, then I really really gonna be jealous.
Enjoy the show mate.

WOW!! What a show! Just a note, if you ever get a chance to see a show at the Fox Theater I highly recommend it. There couldn't have been a better place for the Cowboy Junkies.
First off, the opening band was awesome. There name is Milton Mapes (http://www.miltonmapes.com/sub_set.html). They are a 5 man band from Austin but unfortunately last night there were just 2 members performing :dunno:. Regardless they were very good. There is very heavy influence of Neil Young in their music. Check some of the downloads from their website .
On to the Junkies. Besides the fact that Margos' voice is unreal, these guys can really play. They complement each other very well. Some of the more recognizable songs they played were:
Lay It Down
I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry
Sweet Jane
Miles From Our Home
They also played several from their new album Early 21st Century Blues (http://www.cowboyjunkies.com/exclusives/21century/21century.html). It is a cover album but made they CJ way. They do a great rendition of U2's "One".
This was my first time to see them live and I will not miss another chance. Very intimate and highly recommended.
BTW Jeff, "Miles From Our Home" was great. :thmbsp:
