Well, let's just say it was an excellent week for JD's vinyl collection. For the measly sum of $25 George Washingtons, here's what I brought home:

First, the motherlode of the trip (I'd have paid $25 for this one alone):

William McEuen Presents: Will The Circle Be Unbroken (triple LP in VG+ condition) featuring
Maybelle Carter
Earl Scruggs
Doc Watson
Roy Acuff
Merle Travis
Jimmy Martin
Vassar Clements
Junior Huskey
Norman Blake
Pete Oswald Kirby
And The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band

also found:

Joni Mitchell – Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter (1977 still sealed)
Leon Redbone – On the Track (1975 still sealed)
Leon Redbone – Double Time (1977 still sealed)
Steely Dan – Katy Lied (1975 still sealed)
T-Bone Burnett – Trap Door (1982)
Randy Newman – Good Old Boys (1974)
Earth, Wind & Fire – Spirit (1976 still sealed)
John Hiatt – All of a Sudden (1982)
Boz Scaggs – Hits (1980)
Stella Parton – Country Sweet (1977)
Sammy Walker – Blue Ridge Mountain Skyline (1977)
The Nashville String Band (1969)

Classical albums:
Wagner – Parsifal (Everest Records, Belock Recording, and an interesting note – the master was recorded on 35mm magnetic film using specially designed Westrex Equipment)

Four Favorite Violin Concertos (Columbia Masterworks 360 Sound, "Nonbreakable" - Box set, opened but appear to be unplayed)
1. Tchaikovsky Concert in D Major - Isaac Stern, Eugene Ormandy (Philadelphia Orchestra)
2. Mendelssohn Concerto in E Minor - Isaac Stern, Eugene Ormandy (Philadelphia Orchestra)
3. Brahms Concerto in D major - Isaac Stern, Eugene Ormandy (Philadelphia Orchestra)
4. Beethoven Concerto in D Major - Isaac Stern, Leonard Bernstein (NY Philharmonic)

Deutsche Grammophon (direct import factory sealed albums, covers all in German, recorded at Berlin Philharmonic)
1. Beethoven – Eroica
2. Beethoven Symphonies # 1 & 2
3. Beethoven Symphony #3 (Direct Import, but an English Cover)
4. Johannes Brahms Symphony #4 (London Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Philharmonic)
5. Beethoven Symphony #5
6. Beethoven – Pastorale
7. Beethoven Symphony #7
8. Beethoven Symphony #7 (English Cover on this one)

And also about 20 other albums of mainly female artists that I’ve never heard of (ok, heard of a few, but most not).

That is one hell of a great haul, sport. I think that's a T-Bone album I don't have, dammit.

I'd say that was a good score. :thmbsp:

Congrats Jeff! :)
I have an Everest of Pictures At An Exhibition. Funky cheap looking cover, old, but sounds wonderful. I paid 35 cents for it.

What a haul! And yes, I'd have paid $25 or more for that one. Nice score!

Hey, that Sammy Walker's pretty good, and his previous eponymously titled album is even better; come to think of it, it's gotta be one of the best americana albums I've heard - well written songs w/ great stories and half the time he's sounding like p****d off young Dylan :thmbsp: (His first album "Song For Patty", which I have yet to hear, was produced by the late, great Phil Ochs...)

What a haul! If that's T-Bone's EP, with his version of "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend," you've got a great piece of nearly unobtainium there.
