An SX-3700 may come available to me. The owner says that the thread or string that connects the control to the tuner is gone. Would this be a simple fix or a pita. I once restrung a pilot tube radio, took me 18 hrs. and cost my sanity for life. (yes I am a spaz w/poor eyesight, fat fingers, short fuse)
Thanks for help,
Regards

Thanks glen65, have a feeling I will use this diagram many times. Somehow I was hoping that it would be simple due to the digital readout.
If I work too hard, I may have to keep it. That would be #2 gift receiver held hostage. :sigh:

Avocado Dream,
I was given a spare SX-3700 parts unit from a fellow AKer and I might have the thread available that you could have for free if you want it. Just PM me if your interested.

Here's to only having to use it once. I just restung a Marantz 115. Not something I'd want to do everyday.

I took on the task of restringing a Sherwood receiver without having the drawing available. If it hadnt been for the case of beer, I'd never got it done

Sometimes beer helps, sometimes, not so much.
