Looks like he's been buying up 8 tracks, if he can make this business venture fly, more power to him. I have my doubts.

It will be a sad day when someone pays what he's asking for a bloody 8-track.

those are some fine tunes on that auction! Wow! do 8tracks degrade over time like cassettes do? if so, wouldn't all of those 8tracks sound bad by now?

Are you referring to when they switch from track 2 to track 3 in the middle of the song, or the quality of the tape to begin with? I have some Maxell and TDK casette and reel tapes that are well over 20 years old that still sound pretty damned good.

the best part was before they changed tracks in the middle of the song, there was that "dead-space" 10-15 seconds before the changeover actually kicked in :thumbsdn: ...( if you were inhaling ya always had to hold your breath that much longer  )................they sucked---period !!!....... z

Have you seen the prices on the collectible hand held transistor radios? The go up into the hundreds of dollars, sometimes near 1000.00

Here's one from Japan for 900.00

Do a closed auction search on Ebay for transistor radios, sort by highest dollars, and be amazed.
