I just wanted to show my appreciation to jpciii for a great sale on his SX-780. As always he stays in constant communication and he even drove an hour to meet me halfway to make the sale.
The receiver was just as he described and he even threw in a nice pair of interconnects with the deal. The receiver is for a friend who wants to get started in vintage, but John still made me one heck of a deal and I want to thank him. Great guy and a pleasure to deal with.

Hey, man. Thanks for the very kind words. I hope your buddy enjoys his new receiver, and I hope it delivers years of service to him.
To everyone else:
Crotalus and I have actually done deals in the past, and I would deal with him anytime. :thmbsp:

Just wanted to say thanks to John for another great "transaction". It can't even really be called that when you're dealing with friends can it?
Anyway, a few years ago, I traded my Pioneer SX-727 to John for a pair of speakers. Well he decided to let it go and sold it back to me for a VERY fair price. Add to that the fact that he took great care of it while in his possession and I am very happy. And while I was there picking it up, he made me a deal on some speaker stands I've been searching for and gave me a Project One Mark 1B that needs some work and loaded me up with tons of new music. He even threw in a beautiful set of Electrovoice bookshelves that he recapped. I was waiting on the kitchen sink next! I also got to listen to his great system (I'm now an ADS fan) and enjoy some wonderful company.
If you are ever in the Terre Haute, IN. area it would behoove you to stop by and meet John. A great guy and musician that really personifies everything that AK stands for. Thanks John.:thmbsp:

Yeah, everybody... come to my house and I'll give you audio stuff. I have lots of it; the free stuff needs a little work, though. :thmbsp:
Thanks again for the kind words, good sir. Stop by anytime. I'm always happy to have an audio buddy over to make noise with. I have had my share of good audio karma, so I always like to pass it on. Enjoy the speakers and the stands and the music and the receiver(s). I already miss the SX-727. I hooked up my old pro-logic BPC in its place, and it sounds like poo. That's ok, though... I'm getting rid of that one also.
If anyone actually reads this thread, here is the receiver while it was in my TV room... sooo pretty. Matt, you deserve to have it back since you where the one who cleaned it all up a few years ago. It must love you for it because after you set it free, it has chosen to return. hahaha...
cheers
