Wow first post cool. I love my Qjrs they sound better (to me) than hpm 100's dahlquist dqm9 and jbl l 112's. I did a small shootout between these speakers quite some time ago and the infinities took the prize. Ultra solid low end from the watkins woofers the dome mid is worth all the $ they fetch and the emits, well enough said there. I liked them so much I picked up an orphan just to have spare parts. They have however been eclipsed but will never go away like the hpm's did. I would love to hear a pair of the quantum 2 that I helped JP put together, man they were huge bastads, or any of the larger quantum series for that matter. I think a few of the local AKers were a bit turned off by infinity but the colums and the quantums are different breeds.

Brainsmasher,

did you have to do a lot of refurb to get your Qjr's working when you bought them?

If you ever make it up this way, you're more than welcome to drop by and give them a listen. By Infinity standards, they're actually quite small when one considers that the Infinity Reference Series V consisted of two 4' wide x 7.5' tall panels with two additional woofer towers for a total system weight the better part of a ton. Those are "huge bastads."

You prob already know this info, but I might as well put it up there for others to see.
