Kudos for opening the Infinity section. I'd like to contribute a little bit of info to the cause. I own a set of the 1980's Infinity Modulas speakers - the rare and beautiful ones - not the latter cheap black plastic ones. Finding any type of info on these rare speakers on the net is extremely difficult to do, so I decided to write my own review and include plenty of pictures on my website. If anyone is interested in these vintage speakers feel free to visit my website or here is a direct link to the page: http://www.jimmyneutron.org/Infinity%20Modulas.htm

The Infinity Modulus satellite and subwoofer system is one of those rare small speakers that have caught my fancy. Now I hear that there are two lucky folks here with 'em. Fortunately, there is some info on the Modulus available on the net.

Great write-up Jimmy.
Thanks to both you guys. It's more knowledge to add to the ole grey-matter data bank......you know, if you came across those at a garage sale or at a thrift store, and didn't know what those speakers really were, you would pass them up as cheap little HT or boom box crap.
Sounds like that would be a mistake.

They were $3300 a set when new in ~1990, and were high B rated in Stereophile. For a short while, every Infinity dealer had them set up near a set of Betas or Gammas to show just how close you could get to the big boys using a lot less room.

Yes, very nice article. Interesting evaluation that you provided as well. Much more readable and useful than the 'sometimes painful' ones that we read in magazines. Thanks.

Hey Chavivari, If you don't mind I'd like to post those links on my website from my Infinity Modulas page. Is that cool with you? Also, would anyone have an objection if I posted some links from my site to here at AudioKarma, specifically, to certain posts or threads which people can find useful?
Nego, Army what do you guys think?

Wait till Army and Grumpy reply, but it's fine with me on only one condition:
It's spelled "Modulus", not "Modulas"! I don't usually care about spelling, but if you're creating links to generate traffic, you gotta spell 'em right.

Have at it, though you didn't need to ask me. I didn't create those websites, just shared the links.

Jimmy as long as it's not a business and or your selling anything, which from a quick glance of it, that's not the case!
I see no problem!

However, Jimmy, should you post the links and decide to part with the Modulus, you cannot sell them and instead must give them to me. :thmbsp:

:D It's all in the name of the game, guys. I do sell some stuff on my site - well actually it's more like "trade" equipment. But that's on a whole different section. My Infinity MODULAS (read: Nego :D ) is just a review of these nice speakers and nothing is sold there. I'm not a business, it's just a website full of fun projects, and stereo gear that I like to share with everyone. :thmbsp: The Infinity MODULAS speakers don't have much info on the net other than what's been provided here, so I thought that linking to this thread would do 2 things: provide information on these speakers and 2: help spread the word about Audiokarma. That can only be a good thing, right?
So anyway, thanks for the input. I'll get it done in the coming days.
