First off I don't own an amp big enough to drive my Kappa 7's so I've been putting off doing my woofer refoamadome. But since the forum opened(thanks alot) up I am seriously thinking of getting an appropriate amp so I can start to enjoy them.

Question one: What type of adhesive should I use? Is Elmers white out of the question?

Question two: Should I think about replacing caps in the crossover's? The age really dosen't warrant doing them but I was wondering if any improvement can be achieved.

Any other mod suggestions from owners would be appreciated. :thmbsp:

Is that cone made of plastic? If so, I recall reading that a different glue needed to be used (from the paper type cones), but I can't recall what it was or where I read it. Worth finding out more about it though before proceeding.

Hi TrexT

I've had good luck using Weldbond on the poly cones for my Watkins drivers. I refoamed them several months ago and haven't had any problems. Weldbond can be found at most hardware stores.

Hope someone else will chime in on the cap question, I haven't needed to go that route yet, so I would have no clue.

Thanks Army, Now I remember. I was heading in the Weldbond direction before I was sidetracked and put the refoam job on hold. If its good for poly it should be ok for graphite.
