In the summer when it's hot, a good ole gin and diet tonic hits the spot :thmbsp:
So whats your pleasure?

I like a little citrus with my Gin, in the summer, so either lemonade and soda water, or Squirt, a grapefruit soda, is the mixer of choice for me. Some of my guests prefer vodka instead of gin.
Don't forget the Rose's Lime Cordial in the G&T. (Is that available in IA?)

Never found a way to enjoy gin. Always tasted like Vitalis to me.

HUGE differences in the taste of different gins. Kind of like 'cables have different sound'.
I like Gordon's. More importantly, the young lady likes Gordon's. She refers to gin as a 'panty remover'.

Back in my drinking days I loved a gin martini. I admit it tasted like pine trees until I acquired the taste. Nothing like a gin and tonic after a hard day in the yard or on the golf course.
Yeah I like the Gordon's too, with a slice of fresh lime.
Once in a blue moon a bloody mary with Mr & Mrs T's mix with Sky vodka and a big ole pickle. A great eye opener :thmbsp:
Any home recipes for cocktails?

Nothing like a good Beefeater or Tanqueray and tonic on a hot summer day.
For those looking for something different, try what the Germans call a Radler. Get some Pils beer (Warsteiner, Bitburger) and mix it with Sprite (60/40). I kid you not. Its delicous, especially while sitting on the porch in August.

"Always tasted like Vitalis to me"
Never thought of Vitalis as a cocktail, I suppose with the right filtering..I digress
use to savor a good unblended scotch...but too many later I am now an occasional pinot/merlot guy
