I finally got around to installing my new midrange today in my pair of RS 4001's and decided to eat a bag of funions while i was enjoying a bit of Dream Theater and look what i found. Karma?

That looks about right. I've always thought the Infinity logo was strongly reminiscent of a potato chip, far more so than the original logo. Btw, we have an Infinity Loudspeakers forum (http://audiokarma.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=129) now for threads like these.

Army, you need to change your name to Radar. You home in on these misplaced posts like a guided missile. :D

Would that be the Polyspherite mids? Was just wondering today if you won them or not.

Those would be the ones. I paid dearly for them but i think it was worth it. It also leaves me with a spare in case the other one goes wonky on me. I think i am going to take a stab at fixing the one bad one too.

Cool. Glad I found them in time for you to take advantage of it. Sorry you had to pay alot though. Maybe you could ebay the funion to offset the cost of the mids :scratch2: .

Mac, Where are you going to post that AR5 vs Infinity comparo? :naughty:
You'll need to double up, or at least notify us Infinitoids over here when you post over there.
What do you think at this point though?
Edit - this comment had nothing to do with the quote did it? I shake my head.

Hmm, so the one piece of advice I have, though just a joking observation, that you choose to follow is putting a funion as your avatar? Glad it was on something important. :D

Well, to be perfectly honest ... my avatar is actually a self-portrait.
Alright, alright, I'm the incredibly handsome gent wearing the Tannoy shirt in the pics (http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=551317) from the Dec 10 Portland AK gathering. (I think it's impossible to look cool when soldering esp. in a picture. Ah well. :smoke: )
Y'all should be so fortunate to end up with a son-in-law into speakers. He'll either be alright or your kind of 'messed up.' :screwy: :thmbsp:

Yeah JP I was laying it down with a putty knife!
I hadn't seen your fugly mug before tonight :sigh:
My daugther could do worse, well not much :lmao:
And if some of you other guys are just tuning in, I don't give anyone this hard a time unless I think pretty highly of them!
Cheers

Me thinks you're having fun tonight. Must be all the funions. :thmbsp:

Hmm, first Army calling me "fugly" and now this. Maybe I shouldn't have posted the link. :scratch2: Yeah, I'm 23. I removed my age from my profile a while back when I was taking some flack for merely being young and daring to help on technical issues.

You should be proud. You've been a big help to me more than once on technical issues. Now, do you fill the 5 gallon bucket with water before or after you change the tubes in an amp?

And I know you were kidding Mac....
Age or lack of it doesn't make any difference, until you hit my age.
Then you wish some dork would make that remark :D

Whoa whoa, I wasn't being a downer or at least wasn't trying to be. Just a lame joke followed by a casual observation.
Oh and Mac, it's best to flush the amp with coolant (50/50 antifreeze mix is fine) when you change the tubes or every 2000 hours.

I'm glad to see you've grown a thicker skin, it suits you JP :thmbsp:
And you didn't take the bait, I was waiting for an old guy joke or two. :)
But it's all good, sometimes funions and games can get out of hand.

Maybe so, but perhaps I should work now on developing a better sense of humor so that my jokes won't be DOA. :thmbsp: Old person jokes? Nah, I could never be so mean to frail geriatrics such as yourself. :nono: ... Ok, I better stick to posts about funions.

I wasn't gonna post in this love-fest, but now that you're all making fun of me, I might as well chime in.
Scott, I think we could've done better for our forum nicknames than "An Old Guy Joke or Two". Really. Just 'cause I'm over 50 is no reason to talk like that. And damnit, speak up! I can't hear all that mumbling... Young whippersnappers are always mumbling... :D

Hey, what's this old guy stuff and talkin about 50 ?
Old guy to me means 70 something....... it's all relative . When I'm 70 something old guy will mean 90 something...it's a moving target dudes :D
