shipping speakers in canada

i'm going to be purchasing some altec 19's soon and need to find a shipping company or moving company that will deliver them (to my door preferribly).
we tried reimer and purolator but they wont touch them.fwiw the speakers are in canada and coming from alberta to manitoba.so i was wondeering if anyone has any experience shipping large speakers across canada and who did you use to ship them?

I'm no help but congrats on getting them! I know you have been mulling this over for some time and am pretty sure you will be very happy.

Just a thought but have you considered renting a van and picking them up? Driving across the Prairies can't be that bad. :)

I second Bill's idea, not worth the risk that some yahoo will not give a chit and bang em up, take the time and a little drive and go get em!!!!!

hi guys,

thank you for your comments.unforutnaltely i do not drive so that is not an option for me and i dont have any friends that would take that long of a drive out to alberta to go get them with me (about 14hrs each way).i therefore have to leave it upto the goons who will transport them to me (and believe me i cringe at that thought)i do however trust the seller to bombproof them to survive the trip here.hopefully soon though all will be worked out and i'll be listening to some sweet :music: playing through them shortly as i can hardly wait. :D
