A friend from work let me borrow 'The Rolling Stones: Live at the MAx :IMAX'. Yes, this DVD was filmed in IMAX format and is incredible looking. This is a filming of a concert from the 'Steel Wheels' tour.
The sound was great, but since I don't have surround ( :grnbounce ) I really couldn't say how good the sound was.
Thor - maybe you should try this one?
Dave
I just watched an IMAX movie about Africa and was disapointed in the picture, I thought it looked nowhere as good as newer DVD's. Perhaps it was an older one?
I will pass on the Rolling Stones tho, I like a couple of their tunes but don't really care for them as a band, like the Beatles I find them overatted ;)
I especially can't stand watching that human skeleton playing guitar and the scrawny guy with fat lips doing his chicken dance all over the place.

I saw that at the Imax here and it rocked! I liked the beginning part when Charlie Watts starts jumping around before they go on stage. Can't believe a band that sounds so loose can sound so tight live. At the Imax, you could actually see the worn parts of the fretboard on Richards' guitar!
I might have to pic that one up.
Millerdog recommended!

I just wish I could understand what Dave Matthews is singing - can't he stop swallowing his words? :wtf:

Another interesting concert DVD is the farewell concert of Oingo Boingo. Almost 2 hours of pure energy - and pretty strange too - I LIKE IT!!! :grnbounce:
The last Sade concert DVD is done very well, also. I saw one of the concerts in that series and it was amazing!!! So what if she has a limited vocal range - she does have an interesting voice!!
Dave
I so love "Deadmans Party"!!!!!
Hey Moonie didn't Mick Jagger swallow David Bowie at one time?? Didn't one of his ex wives claim to have caught them in bed?? :smsex: :puke: :finger:
