My mom passed away last month and we have the unfortunate task of liquidating her estate. This was her car, and it really is in pretty darn good shape. 62500 ORIGINAL MILES. V-8, PS, PB, Cruise, Tilt, Elec Seats, Elec mirrors, drivers & passengers air bags, cassette stereo, gold exterior, gold cloth interior.
Asking $5900, $5400 for a forum member.
Vehicle is located in Northville, MI, a western suburb of Detroit.

Man, sorry that this had to happen... good luck for the rest of you all, during this time...
That's got the fuel injected 4.6 V8 in it, right? Those things actually got surprisingly GOOD gas mileage (as in, I've known people with those, who got like close to 30mpg highway, sometimes), for a full size car with plenty of power on tap!
Regards,
Gordon.

Thanks for the thoughts, Gordon. Yes, I think you're correct about the engine. We never really put the car to the test with gas milage. She just used the car for driving around town.

Good luck selling the car, Mike. If I know anyone that needs a nice car, I'll send them your way.
My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your mother. My family's thoughts are with you.

Mike, I'm sorry about your Mom.
I'll put in a good word for this car - I drive a '97 Grand Marquis and love it. It sounds like a GREAT deal.

My only concern would be the tranny. Thats a great car and if the taRNNY IS IN GREAT SHAPE, THAN ITS GOOD TO GO FOR ANOTHER 50 OR 60 THOUSAND MILES. WHAT A GREAT DEAL AT 5500.OO. These cars are noisy at speed even at 20,000 miles( I drive a 2002 Grand marquis with 19,0000 miles, but the ride is comfortable ,the machine is very relaible up to a satisfactory point, and the engine bay is the last of the recognizable engine compartments. You can actually tell where and what things are! For my Money, LTD's and Crown Vics are THE way to go.It does help to have the premium package though. It will be a sad day when the last of the rear whell drive Crown Vics and LTD's roll off the assembly lines. Brace yourself- the day is coming.
